This week long course is about
horsemanship, based on the understanding of the horse and the
rider with the ultimate aim of improving the riding skills of
the trainees.
Using appropriate and pleasant
surroundings, where animals and humans communicate naturally,
the trainer will "direct" his pupils towards a genuine,
harmonious and efficient way of riding in dressage, show
jumping and cross country.
THE
PROGRAMME
Five to six trainees maximum for the week
which
includes.
-Tree hours riding sessions per day
in:*Dressage* Show jumping* Cross Country. The length of
each session is planned to give time for a good warm up. Also
riders will be encouraged to ride as many different horses as
possible.
-One session a
day of lecturing, practising, lungeing, long reining and
stable management.
-One riding
session during the week will be used for lungeing to develop
riders confidence and correct riding position.
-One afternoon
will be arranged for a long hack through local
countryside.
-Presentation
and discussion of videos is the evenings.
-Possibility to
compete in local shows.
All trainees will receive a more detailed programme of
the week's course on their arrival.
